Military Academy Appointment Instructions
A complete packet with the requested information listed below will allow you an interview before the Academy Review Board.
- High School Transcript
This must be complete through Junior year. - Letters of Recommendation
Only two letters are required; extras will not become part of your file. - Statement of Reasons for attending an Academy
An essay in 500 words or less. - Recent Photo
This does not have to be a school picture. - Application Information Sheet
You must use the current form, others will not be accepted.
Please collect and complete the above items and forward your information to your appropriate region office (use the Region Office finder if you do not know in which region you reside) before, but no later than October 1, 2007. It is critical that you keep this deadline.
It is very important that you comply with these instructions if you are sincerely interested in being considered for a nomination. If, for any reason, you find you cannot comply with all of the above instructions as of the date indicated, please forward all the materials you are able to provide along with an explanation or phone call to the appropriate office as to what is missing and when we may expect to receive the remaining materials.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure you mail your packet information to the appropriate region office in your area, either Albuquerque or Las Cruces. Use the Region Office finder if you do not know in which region you reside.
