Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee

Senator Domenici currently serves on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).

The HSGAC has jurisdiction over certain aspects of the Department of Homeland Security, national archives, postal service, general Congressional organizational matters, Federal Civil Service, government information, and various other governmental issues. Senator Domenici serves on the Disaster Recovery; Federal Financial Management; Permanent Investigations; and State, Local & Private Sector Preparedness HSGAC subcommittees.

Recently, HSGAC has addressed such important issues as legislation to implement 9/11 commission recommendations, legislation to improve our nation���s port security, and legislation to improve our nation���s chemical security.
